Thanks for purchasing my mix case. Iā€™m excited to share the wines that inspired me to pursue a career in wine with you. Scroll to see why I love each of these wines and the purpose behind every selection.

Les Belles Roches Bourgogne Blanc
country
france
region
Burgundy
varietal
Chardonnay
Chardonnay is one of my favorite grapes because it can be manipulated in so many ways. My favorites are from Burgundy because of the mineral undertones and the minimal use of oak.
purpose
Chardonnay to most consumers is a heavily oaked and buttery white wine, but this wine will show you that not all Chardonnay is made that way!
Torre Varano Falanghina
country
italy
region
campania
varietal
Falanghina
When people ask for Italian white wine, it is too often lumped into Pinot Grigio. The truth is there is a ton of great white wines from Italy that are light crisp and fruity, but aren't Pinot Grigio. Falanghina is one of those grapes!
purpose
Try an Italian white wine that is crisp and light like Pinot Grigio, but has more flavor and more of a fine wine experience in the glass!
Cultivar Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc
country
USA
region
napa valley
varietal
Sauvignon Blanc
There are so many different styles of Sauvignon Blanc out there, but the most interesting ones are ones that bring a ton of complexity to the table. Cultivar is light and crisp, but it is the fun notes of stone fruit and melon that keep me coming back for more!
purpose
As it starts to get warmer out, but it isn't quite Summer, fuller bodied styles of white wines you may already know are great seasonal wines that are perfect for the Spring!
Rezabal Txakolina Rose
country
spain
region
Getariako Txacolina
varietal
Hondarrabi
My favorite Rose style in the world is one almost everyone who has ordered this case, has never had. Txakolina Rose is a light, slightly bubbly Rose from Spain that taste like you sprinkled sea salt on a fresh slice of Watermelon, but completely dry. DELICIOUS!
purpose
Too many people drink Rose by itself, but this style of Rose is perfect for food, especially sea food. One of my favorite pairings I have ever had is Txakolina Rose and a dozen West Coast Oysters!
Francois Chidaine Touraine Rouge
country
france
region
Burgundy
varietal
Chardonnay
Francois Chidaine is one of my all time value driven producers from the Loire Valley in France. Whites, reds, and rose at literally any price point always blows me away. This blend is simple but complex and should just be enjoyed by itself.
purpose
This is my favorite wine to bring to parties. Its a complex and fun red wine for a sophisticated red wine drinker, but not overwhelming for someone looking to just have fun. It truly is a crowd pleaser!
Cleto Chiarli Lambrusco di Sorbara Vecchia Modena
country
italy
region
Lambrusco di Sorbara
varietal
Lambrusco
If you think Lambruso is just a bubbly red wine from Italy, you are missing the boat on some of the most fun wines in the world. This bubbly, slightly sweet sparkling wine is just flat out delicious in the glass, and you will wonder why you didn't find wines like these before.
purpose
The must have "Brunch Banger." Light fruity and smack of sweetness with slightly lower alcohol will be the next big hit at Brunch!
Fontezoppa Moro
country
italy
region
Marche
varietal
Vernaccia Nera
There are so many Italian red varietals that I promise you haven't tried before and Vernaccia is one of those grapes. This is one of the highest rated Vernaccias out there, and should be saved for a special occasion. Don't be afraid to keep it for some time, it will age beautifully for the next 10 years.
purpose
Not only for you to try a new grape you have never heard of, but also try an elevated quality of wine that can age in the cellar.
Frisach Terra Alta L'Abrunet Alta Negre
country
spain
region
Terra Alta
varietal
Garnacha Fina
Spain is a hot bed for incredible red wines at incredible values. Some of the best wines are at incredible values, but the stories behind them are riddled with incredible history. There is 200 years of family farming history that goes into these vines, and the wine shows it off beautifully.
purpose
This is a wine that you have never tried, but you have probably had grenache and carignan before from other regions. This wine is an INCREDIBLE value and drinks better than most grenache and carignan in much higher price point, only because it comes from Terra Alta, Spain.
Domaine Fichet Tradition Bourgogne Rouge
country
france
region
Burgundy
varietal
pinot noir
Red Burgundy can be intimidating, but just know at its base level, it is just Pinot Noir. Fichet is one of my favorite producers and they have some higher end wines, but their base level Bourgogne Rouge, for the price, may be my favorite Pinot Noir on the market.
purpose
Burgundy is considered the best Pinot Noir in the world, and this is my way of introducing it to you!
Mauro Molino Nebbiolo
country
italy
region
Piedmont
varietal
Nebbiolo
70+ years in La Morra, Mauro Molino is most known for their Barolos, some of the best Nebbiolo in the world. A great way to experience a great producer without spending the Barolo price point is drinking their entry level Nebbiolos, which this is their version.
purpose
Nebbiolo is kind in Piedmont, but you don't always have to spend $50+ on a bottle of wine to enjoy it. Find your favorite producers and snag their base level reds, Mauro Molino is one of mine, so start with theirs!
Chateau Real
country
france
region
Bordeaux
varietal
Cabernet Sauvignon
Bordeaux is one of the most historic wine regions in the world, but it can also be expensive. One of the hardest things to do in my world is finding great values from Bordeaux. Chateau Real is one of those wines, especially from a great vintage like 2019.
purpose
Many people ignore Bordeaux in these price points because they are afraid the quality is not good, but after tasting this one, I was blown away. There are some gems out there, and if you like this one, I promise you will open yourself up to so many more!
In Sheeps Clothing Cabernet Sauvignon
country
USA
region
Washington State
varietal
Cabernet Sauvignon
There are few people in the world that has made wine as approachable and fun as Andre Mack, the founder of Maison Noir. He has a massive influence on how I approach wine and I think everyone should enjoy wine. Wine should be fun, and his wines are nothing short of that.
purpose
Most red wine drinkers have had Cabernet before, but none with the fun background that is Maison Noir. Andre Mack has influenced so many Sommeliers like myself, and for me, it is important to pass that down to consumers! If this is your first time tasting one of his wines, I promise you will find yourself looking for all the other incredible wines he produces.
