The wine is rich but not overly sumptuous on the nose, characterized by small red fruits, currants and sour cherries, with delicate floral and herbal notes alongside a slight whiff of eucalyptus. This recalls the elegance of the vintage and the fresher temperatures that preceded the harvest of Cabernet Franc. On the palate, an enveloping sense of richness leads to a persistent and compact mouthfeel, with lush tannins that are still structured for long-term aging. The finish is long, with a salty note that encourages a return to the glass. This is one of the last vintages made by Andrea Franchetti in person.
