This year's Cupole has a deep violet color, with pronounced aromatics of tomato leaf, black pepper, black fruit, spice, and violets. The wine is medium-to-full bodied, with velvety tannins and juiciness from its well-integrated acidity. The notes of black fruits and spice are persistent on palate, and there is just that touch of bitterness on the finish so characteristic of Italian wines, adding a dimension of sapidity.
